Regent's Park Refurb

Posted in Tubeworker's blog on ,

Tubeworker has reported previously that the Regent's Park refurb included the physical bricking-up of the Ticket Office. It seems that this is not the only problem with it.

The planned training schedule had to be scrapped after inspections by safety reps found the site to be unsuitable for training. Then when training did go ahead, it had to be abandoned due to noise and hazards caused by the ongoing work.

And station staff across the system will know how unreliable the old Regent's Park lifts were - we were forever heearing BBMS announcements about the station closing because they had failed again. Are the new lifts any better? The fact that the trainer and trainees had to be rescued from them when they stalled during training does not bode well!
