Prepare the reballot! AWL NEU 2023 conference bulletin

Click here for Workers' Liberty's National Education Union 2023 conference bulletin, sold to delegates attending the NEU conference in Harrogate, 3-6 April 2023. NEU voted for strikes on 27 April, 2 May and three more days in late June/July. The union will reballot in June/July for more strikes in the next school year, starting in September.

Lewisham revolt against academisation

Workers, parents and students at the Prendergast group of schools in Lewisham (south-east London) are in revolt against the attempt to convert them to a multi-academy trust – a semi-private organisation outside local authority control in which management power is entrenched.
